Aris in Schinias (photo Stam Zogaris)The scientists and naturalists associated with Biodiversity East consider it a moral obligation to take a stand on the protection of precious and highly important biodiversity- species, ecosystems, landscapes. We support protected areas and protected area networks. We recognize that this will not happen without support of the society and consider public education and information campaigns absolutely crucial. We are interested in organizing information campaigns, recreational and educational events for public and student communities, in order to inform society about the need for the biodiversity protection and more intelligent management of our natural heritage.
